SoccerDo you ever feel like you are alright at a lot of things, but not really amazing at anything?

I started playing organized outdoor soccer for the first time in what I calculated to be about eight years. Although it has been a lot of fun already, it is a bit humbling to start running toward the ball and realize that you are running much slower, breathing much heavier, and dribbling far less skillfully than you once did. Such is life.

In talking about this it made me appreciate high school and the highly encouraged atmosphere for physical fitness as a discipline. As I have entered adult land, there is encouragement to stay disciplined in many areas of life, but the whole staying physically fit thing seems to be pushed to the way side. Am I right in this?

I am grateful to my older role-models like my own father who continues to stay physically active.
